  • Real Salt Lake, the twelfth member of Major League Soccer, opened its inaugural season on April 1, 2005 and currently plays its home games in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Led by head coach Jason Kries, RSL has developed a strong fan base and has consistently ranked near the top of the MLS in attendance figures over its first three years of play. Furthermore, SCP Worldwide has commenced plans for the construction of a state-of-the-art, soccer-specific stadium in Sandy, Utah, which will provide a stunning new home for the fanchise and an energetic setting for its growing following. In addition, it has developed a long-term marketing partnership with world-renowned soccer franchise, Real Madrid. The agreement includes co-owned youth soccer academies, a series of matches between the teams and the ability for RSL to use the internationally recognized training facilities in Madrid, Spain.
