As part of its purchase of the St. Louis Blues and Scottrade Center, SCP also purchased the lease to the Peabody Opera House. The famed opera house, which sits adjacent to Scottrade Center, opened in 1934 and is one of the most famous entertainment halls in the country. Long considered an architectural masterpiece, it is one of the jewels of St. Louis. SCP has recently commenced its plans to revitalize the building which will reawaken the cultural icon restoring it to its original luster, lore and significance and set to reopen in the Fall of 2011.
